Meet Founder Laura Clark - Washington, DC

Based in Washington, DC, Laura (Eilers) Clark founded Going Pro Entertainment in 2008 with the guidance of other NFL and NBA pro cheerleader alumni. Having cheered seven years for three professional organizations, Laura was passionate about providing future pro cheerleaders the guidance needed for them to feel confident during auditions. Going Pro Entertainment, LLC is now recognized as the only pro cheer audition coaching service available in multiple U.S. markets. Going Pro has also been an integral part in training new coaches and forming programs. Going Pro guides over 150 audition candidates per year and welcomes over 300 attendees at its expos located in various cities including Chicago, Philadelphia and Houston. Clark has been featured in multiple news outlets as a "mover and shaker" in the pro cheer industry, leading the inaugural NFL Cheerleaders Reunion, launching the Science Cheerleaders performance team, and developing the sales program for Angela King Designs and Go Wild! Wear. As 2011 Ms. United States, Clark's recent accomplishments also cross over to pageant direction and training.

Laura has cheered for three teams: St. Louis Rams Cheerleaders (2009), Kansas City Chiefs Cheerleaders (2003-2007), and Kansas City Wizards MLS (now Sporting KC) (2011). Laura was a semifinalist in 2008 for the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and appeared on CMT's Making the Team. During her time as an NFL Cheerleader, Laura toured seven countries performing for the U.S. military. She was a team captain for two years, appeared in multiple swimsuit calendars, and choreographed field routines.

For four summers, Laura was a Camp Instructor and Head Instructor for Universal Dance Association while also performing on the nationally ranked dance team at William Jewell College. She has been an instructor at numerous dance studios including J'Adore in Richmond, Virginia.

After performing professionally for seven years on three pro teams, Laura created and directed the Lady Raiders dance and cheer team for indoor professional football in Richmond, Virginia. In Richmond, she also was the Raiders Game Day emcee, appeared on the cover of Style Weekly "Belle" Magazine, conducted countless radio commercials and interviews, and served as a spokesperson and emcee in many capacities.

Laura has launched dance teams for the American Basketball Association, semipro and arena football, college and high school. Laura has choreographed for the Wichita Falls Nighthawks (Texas), Portsmouth Cavaliers (Virginia - ABA), Otterbein University (Ohio), University of Richmond (Virginia), University of Central Missouri, the Baltimore Blast Cheerleaders (MISL) and has conducted seminars for the Gotham City Cheerleaders, the Virginia Destroyers Cheerleaders and many high school dance teams.

From 2010-2013, Laura served as the National Sales Manager for Angela King Designs and Go Wild! Wear. During this time, Laura helped to develop AKD's first sales program to introduce the world's premiere pro cheerleader costume designer to smaller markets. Laura continues to serve as the company's Marketing and Social Media Consultant.

Since 2010, Laura has been the Creative Director and Choreographer of the Science Cheerleaders, recognized by The Today Show, CNN, Discover Magazine, and the Guinness Book of World Records. The Science Cheerleaders are currently preparing performances at the 76ers Science in the City Night and the 2014 USA Science & Engineering Festival.

One highlight of Laura's career was fulfilling the goal of Going Pro Entertainment to unite alumni cheerleaders, forming the inaugural NFL Cheerleader Reunion in 2011 in Las Vegas. This event incited the reunion to continue through official cheerleader alumni organizations, hosted by the Redskins in 2012 and to be hosted by the Falcons in 2014.

In 2011, Laura was crowned Ms. United States, appearing in many fashion shows and endorsement ads as well as being recognized as #15 on the Bleacher Report's Most Buzzworthy NFL Cheerleaders of 2011. In 2013, Laura was a featured pro cheer expert panel member on a live Huffington Post broadcast.

Today, Laura spends most of her time in the pageant circuit, directing four states with the Miss United States Organization and sitting on the MUSO Board of Directors as the national marketing and public relations goals for the organization. She has attended 75 percent of Going Pro's expos located across the United States since 2008 and remains the main point of contact in Going Pro's audition consulting program.
