Located in Houston, Lindsay Slott is an alumni NFL Houston Texans Cheerleader for two seasons, having the opportunity to perform for over 70,000 fans at each home game and traveling to Japan, Singapore, and Diego Garcia. While overseas, she taught workshops and performed for the United States military. She was featured in the 2011 Houston Texans Cheerleader Swimsuit Calendar and received Honorable Mention for Best Dancer via the votes of her Texans Cheerleader peers.
Lindsay was also featured on North America's most popular MTV show, “Randy Jackson Presents: Americas Best Dance Crew” (Season 2) with her crew “Distorted X.” Distorted X (DX) competed alongside Houston natives and second place winners of the show, SoReal Cru, as well as other talented dance crews such as Fanny Pak, Supreme Soul (aka Soul Sector) and ABDC Season 2 Champions Super Crew.
Lindsay's other accomplishments include starring in the Gold and Platinum-Remi Award winning independent docudrama “House of Dreams,” produced by Shawn Welling and Roger Scott Budge. The film featured Lindsay, as well as many other company members of Planet Funk Dance Academy, and displayed their struggles to maintain peace between the community and their place of dance artistry.
Slott was also cast to perform at the annual 2006 Monsters of Hip Hop show in Los Angeles, where she worked closely with star choreographers such as Brian Friedman (Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera), Marty Kudelka (Justin Timberlake), Kevin Maher (Mariah Carey), Tabitha and Napoleon D’umo (So You Think You Can Dance) and The Jabbawockeez. Slott's other accolades include co-choreographing with Geo Hubela (Iconic Boyz) for upcoming artist Jeannie Ortega in New York City, touring both Texas and California with the Latin pop group Kabah (sponsored by Wise Concerts), making the front cover of the 2005 October issue of Houston’s Envy Magazine, a featured spread in Todo Magazine, performing with rock star Neil Young for a crowd of 30,000 fans, playing the lead role of Cinderella in Planet Funk Academy’s first theatrical production of The De Vinci Movement (featuring celebrity choreographer Wade Robson), and winning various awards for her novelty hip-hop choreography contributed to competitive dance teams and high school drill teams in Houston, Spring, and The Woodlands, Texas.
Lindsay Slott’s choreography was featured in Planet Funk’s 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2012 Dance Houston and Dancescape Productions, in which the studio received the “Impact Award,” the “Best Production Award,” and “The Honorary Achievement Award.” Lindsay’s unique dance style and thorough training has earned her a great deal of success in the performing arts industry. Her ability to remain humble throughout all of her greatest accomplishments has earned her a place at the top of the performing arts ladder within the Houston dance community.
Lindsay resides in Spring, Texas and instructs at studios north and south of the Houston metropolitan area. In addition, Lindsay has earned her Associate's degree in Speech Communication from Lone Star College -Montgomery. She is currently attending the University of Houston to earn her Bachelor's degree in speech pathology. Lindsay specializes in audition training, choreography and team training.
