GPE Contributes in Setting Cheerleading World Record

Science Cheerleaders Break World Record with Cheer Choreographed by Going Pro Entertainment

On November 12, 2011, Going Pro Entertainment contributed choreography and instructional video as the Science Cheerleaders and over 1,300 Pop Warner Cheerleaders broke the Guinness Book of World Records for the Largest Cheer.

Going Pro Executive Director and reigning Ms. United States Laura Eilers choreographed the 6-minute cheer. Eilers was an NFL cheerleader in Kansas City and St. Louis and now coordinates professional cheerleading and dance performances around the globe. Eilers serves as the choreographer for the Science Cheerleaders, coordinating 20-minute stage performances involving NFL and NBA cheerleaders who work in the sciences.

Heidi Inthavong Performs with the Science Cheerleaders

Going Pro’s Maryland consultant Heidi Inthavong joined the Science Cheerleaders at the event to lead the cheer. Heidi was a 6-year Kansas City Chiefs Cheerleader and has performed as a Science Cheerleader for two years. Inthavong consults future pro cheerleaders and performs with the Pro Cheer All Stars alumni performance group produced by Going Pro Entertainment.

The cheer performed by Pop Warner focused on the importance of science and engineering and was led by two other Science Cheerleaders and the organization director Darlene Cavalier. The previous Guinness World Record was set in China during the 2008 Olympics with a cheer team of 1,200 people chanting a slogan that translates to, “I love it when China wins.”

GPE’s Laura Eilers Produces Lady Raiders Swimsuit Calendar

Going Pro Entertainment’s Executive Director Laura Eilers is at the forefront of a 2012 swimsuit calendar to be released next week.

A former NFL cheerleader for the Chiefs and Rams and current creative director for the USA Science Cheerleaders, Eilers is one of nearly 30 alumni professional cheerleaders within the Going Pro network located nationwide and in Canada. The ladies are available for pro cheer consulting, junior program and calendar production, choreography and more.

Eilers created the Lady Raiders cheer and dance team in 2010 in support of Richmond, Virginia’s newest arena football team. That year, the ladies were named the Best Dance Team in the league, and have remained at the forefront of the semipro football cheerleading squads through exceptional choreography, classy uniforms, and gracious community work.

On Tuesday, November 29 from 6 to 8 p.m., Eilers and the Lady Raiders will unveil and sign their 2012 swimsuit calendar, the team’s first, at Fleming’s Steakhouse and Wine Bar located at Stony Point Shopping Center, 9200 Stony Point Parkway, Richmond, Va.

The event is open to the public and includes a performance by the Lady Raiders, complimentary hors de’ouvres and a cash bar. This will be the first opportunity to purchase a calendar at $14.99 each. The 12-month calendar will also be available at www.richmondraidersprofootball.com, at all home Raiders games and at local calendar signing appearances. GPE’s Melissa Hodges Named Arena Football Dance Director

Congratulations to one of Going Pro’s most recent staff additions, Melissa Hodges, who was named the dance team director for the Knoxville Knighthawks indoor professional football team. Melissa resides in Knoxville, Tennessee where she consults future professional cheerleaders and conducts choreography. Contact Going Pro to schedule a session with Melissa!

Melissa Hodges is proud to join the Knoxville Nighthawks as the dance team director. Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, Hodges received a bachelor of science in neuroscience from Vanderbilt University. After serving as captain and dancing competitively in both high school and college, Hodges spent three years as an NFL Tennessee Titans Cheerleader. With the Titans, Hodges served as president of the Spirit Committee, spoke at various youth leadership conferences, and traveled throughout the country to support the U.S. military. She has choreographed for several dance teams throughout Tennessee, including the Vanderbilt Dance Team and Franklin Cowgirls. She is a dance and cheer consultant for Going Pro Entertainment and teaches dance at Angela Floyd Schools. Hodges also judges dance and cheer competitions and auditions throughout Tennessee as a Spirit Events Coordinators judge.

GPE Welcomes Southern Cal Consultant Jennifer Kaelin

Going Pro Entertainment welcomes southern California consultant Jennifer Kaelin! Jennifer cheered for three years for NFL teams in Kansas City and Arizona. She currently resides in San Diego, where she is attending California Western School of Law. As an NFL cheerleader, Jennifer traveled to Mexico City and Hong Kong. Jennifer has also worked for FOX Sports Arizona, was the field reporter for Arizona Entertainment Weekly and has appeared in multiple television commercials.

“I can honestly say I would not be the woman I am today had I never been a professional cheerleader,” says Jennifer. “I learned how to motivate myself and others, the true meaning of discipline and determination, and the power of actively seeking and pointing out the good in every individual that one encounters. Going Pro Entertainment is the perfect opportunity for me to share these special experiences and to help other like-minded women turn their dreams into reality.

GPE to Film Reality TV Pilot

BREAKING NEWS! An established NYC production company will attend the Going Pro Entertainment East Coast Pro Dance Convention on Saturday, November 19, 2011 in Philadelphia. The company will administer a casting for a 2012 reality TV show following pro cheer audition candidates. Those selected will receive complimentary pro cheer audition training and film the pilot episode in the northeast United States in January 2012, date and location to be determined.

To be considered for the casting, please enroll in either half day session (9am-12pm or 1-4pm) or the full day session for the East Coast Pro Dance Convention. Your enrollment fee serves as your casting application fee. Casting includes learning dance/cheer choreography, interview and photograph, all to be completed on November 19. No dance or cheer experience is required. Must be 18 years of age or older by January 15, 2011.

In light of this announcement, Going Pro has extended 15% off early bird registration discounts through Sunday, November 13 at midnight. Registration will carry standard rates through the day of the event, walk-ins are welcome. If you have questions please contact info@goingproentertainment.com.
